Society gets together in front of the disregard of the democratic institutions. Such is the result of the campaign 'Artists and teachers go together' which shows and exceptional and unique exhibition as for the quality as for the quantity of the works of art given away by the artists.
More than 200 works by artists such as Barceló, Humberto Rivas, Robert Llimós, Ferran Aguiló, ... will be able to be acquired for half of their market price in order to raise funds for the teacher's 'resistance box'. They have been on indefinite strike for 40 days and, for 21 days, they went on the strongest strike ever remembered reaching its climax with the most important demonstration in democracy, October, the 29th.
The exhibition can be visited at the espai Ferran Cano – opened for the occasion- until Tuesday the 29th. The opening hours are from 11 to 14h, and from 18 to 21h. The auction, on Wednesday the 30th at Trui teatre (Camí de Son Rapinya, 29) is at 20:00h. The prices range between 25€ the cheapests, up to 10,000€, the starting bid on some of them. The aim is to defend culture and education.
